Rudi Molacek’s life is one immersed in an ongoing circle of aesthetic celebration. Born in Vienna, he is a model turned New York fashion photographer, an art collector turned artist. Throughout all of these incarnations, he has maintained a passionate appreciation for gardening with a romantic focus on the iconic inspiration inherent in flowers. In both his representational and abstract work, blooms remain his muse. The breadth of his work is vast, and his genuine creativity manifests in the forms of sculpture, paintings and digital mediums. Regardless of material, Rudi is committed to transcending the limits of the ego, and he strives to paint from a place of meditation and quiet contemplation. This practice is successfully translated to the viewer; looking at his work reveals a sense of peaceful quietude and essential beauty.

April 23rd to the 27th Lincart will be exhibiting at the Maco contemporary art fair in historic Mexico City. We were there participating in 2004 and had an amazing time. Come and join us!
